Dr. Daniel Schenck, D.C.
Twenty-five years of helping people
In 1979 Daniel Schenck attended the Alpha School of Muscle and
Joint Therapy, a massage school where he studied a wide variety
of subjects including massage, nutrition, herbology, acupressure
and reflexology. He began working at an alternative cancer
clinic in Arizona that used principles of integrating body, mind
and spirit in healing. Observing numerous dramatic recoveries,
he became an advocate for the power of the mind in healing.
He also decided to go back to college to become a doctor.
He attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport,
Iowa, long considered to be the best Chiropractic College in the
world. In 1989 Dr. Schenck graduated with honors, earning
the degree of Doctor of Chiropractic that brought with it greater
responsibilities for people's total health.
In 1992 while working at a multi-doctor chiropractic clinic in
Arizona he studied acupuncture, Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET)
and Applied Kinesiology (AK). All of these techniques were used
with great success in an optional holistic approach for people
with difficult conditions.

In 1998 he opened an office in Colorado, and began using a completely
holistic approach with his patients. By blending gentle chiropractic
with massage and acupressure, treatments were dramatically more
effective. Patients who initially came in for pain relief often
returned with friends or family members wanting a treatment as well.
A medical doctor captured the sentiment when she said, "Daniel
doesn't just have patients, he has fans".
In 2003 Dr. Daniel Schenck began practicing in Pittsburgh at the
Nuin center where he offers three levels of treatment. The Quick
version comes with 25 years of experience to provide a gentle
chiropractic adjustment. The Regular version emphasizes treating
the body as a whole. It includes massage, acupressure, AK muscle
testing and gentle adjustments. The Long version is an hour and
emphasizes mind- body integration by adding a type of energy balancing
called chi yi, along with cranial manipulation and
NET as needed. People consistently remark on how good they
feel after this adjustment. This is done on the first visit but
is also popular with people who value the effectiveness of the Long
visit.
Benefits
With the holistic approach, virtually anyone can benefit because
the whole person is taken into consideration not just one part.
A.K. (Applied Kinesiology) works with muscle testing to
check for problems including sore elbows, knees, feet and wrists,
TMJ, and even skull bones.
N.E.T. (Neuro Emotional Technique) works on problems caused
or made worse by emotions and stress. The technique can have a tremendously
beneficial impact on health, including eliminating very real
pain.
Acupressure and chi yi are the needle-free applications
of the principles of acupuncture. Dr. Schenck applies the Chinese
"Five Element" approach to the flow of chi energy.
The Chinese system brings with it a mind-body connection
that is missing from most of western medicine.
Cost
It is widely recognized that massage, acupressure and chiropractic
adjustments are effective. When blended into one treatment they
dramatically enhance the long-term effectiveness of the adjustment.
An enhanced treatment takes more time but eliminates the need for
frequent, ongoing office visits and that saves you time and money.
- The initial consultation is free.
- The Quick visit is $20 and takes about 15 minutes.
- The Regular visit is $40 and for a half-hour.
- The Long visit is $80 and lasts an hour.
