Deanna Markesteyn C.M.T., B.A. has practiced somatic therapy since 1990. She is certified through Associated Bodyworkers and Massage Professionals. Deanna uses a combination of somatic modalities. By combining different massage modalities such as Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Soft Tissue Release, Acupressure, and Myofascial Release she designs a massage session that fills her client’s individual needs. Deanna works with her clients providing tools to help empower them, so that they can live a healthier more balanced life style. The tools include simple techniques of mindfulness, paying attention to your body, breathing techniques; stressing the importance of nutrition, and movement. These tools help her clients to take care of their emotional and spiritual bodies as well.

Deanna specializes in The Year of Pregnancy and has had Doula training. She offers the expectant mother support, comfort and nurturing throughout mother’s entire pregnancy.

Deanna is also the founder of Touch with Intention. She teaches Infant Massage, Couples Massage, and Massage for Friends and Family. Deanna teaches In the Theraputic Massage program at Pittsburgh Technical Institute
