She continues to practice with an approach that is dynamically rooted
and is working towards a certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy
at the Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center.
Naomi’s approach to helping clients attain emotional wellbeing
is grounded in the holistic power of biological, psychological,
and social health. Her practice provides a safe and non-judgmental
space for clients to explore life choices and reach their potential.
In addition to extensive work with adults, Naomi specializes in
working with children, in particular those who have suffered a traumatic
event or difficult loss. She utilizes play therapy in her work with
all children, helping them to learn to communicate with others,
improve relationships, develop problem solving skills, and overcome
anxieties and fears. Through Play therapy children learn to cope
with and express difficult emotions.
Naomi has also worked with both children and adults struggling
with gender identity concerns and seeking to live more fulfilling
lives outside of socially constructed gender norms. Naomi helps
transgender client’s give voice to their lived experiences
and to understand and connect with any medically necessary interventions.
Naomi is available for consultation to other mental health and/or
medical providers, school personnel and others seeking guidance
in working with transgender or gender variant clients.
