PATTY DELANEY, LCSW
As a psychotherapist, Patty Delaney, LCSW, believes everyone has
their own timing and can find their own answers through insightful,
creative, courageous and supportive work. A 2005 graduate of University
of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, she specializes
in a variety of issues including depression, post-partum depression,
grief and loss, relationships and attachment, and dealing with chronic
illness.
She has worked in the medical field in a variety of settings, most
notably as a Perinatal Social Worker in the Newborn Intensive Care
unit working with families with premature and sick babies, and now
as a therapist for youth with chronic illness and their families.
She has worked extensively within lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender,
and queer communities (LGBTQ) and is intimately familiar with the
diversified needs, views and issues of these communities, including
coming out/sexual orientation, gender identity and HIV/AIDS.
Utilizing an eclectic approach, which includes Psychodynamic, Family
Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Hypnotherapy, Patty develops
the best method to address clients' concerns.
Patty is available for therapy for individuals, couples and families,
adults and youth. She is licensed to provide clinical supervision
and consultation to master’s degree students working towards
their licensing requirements.
